The Standard
The Creator Relations Standard™ consists of a Core Standard and a set of Protocols. The Core Standard establishes shared definitions and interpretive boundaries. Protocols apply those definitions to specific relationship categories.
Protocols
Protocols are issued by relationship category, and do not operate independently of the Core Standard.
Protocol A: Brand Relationships
Applies to professional relationships involving creators and brands, including collaborations, sponsorships, and paid promotional activity.
Protocol B: Representation
Applies to relationships involving delegated authority, including managers, agents, and representatives acting on behalf of a creator.
Protocol C: IP & Content Ownership
Applies to relationships involving content ownership, licensing, reuse, or distribution rights.
Protocol content and interpretation are contained within licensed materials.
Scope & Usage
Access to the Standard is licensed annually. Licensing grants permission to reference the Standard within a defined scope. It does not provide advice, certification, enforcement, or endorsement.
Licenses are issued based on governance scope, including:
- relationship type
- number of counterparties
- degree of reliance on the Standard
Licenses are non-transferable and do not expand automatically.
The Standard is not sold as content and is not publicly distributed.
Registry Verification
Licensed access is reflected through registry verification.
Registry verification confirms:
- license status
- license term
- scope of access
Registry verification does not indicate compliance, approval, certification, or endorsement.
Pricing
Licensing is priced according to scope. Pricing is discussed following the briefing and documented in the license agreement.
